About The Position

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) at WNY Immediate Care is responsible for providing exceptional service to patients and their families in an urgent care setting. This role involves greeting patients, verifying their information, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The PSR acts as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers, advocating for patient needs and maintaining confidentiality while performing various clerical duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a customer service position required.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in a medical office/clinic environment preferred.
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist patients in verifying demographic and personal information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and create a welcoming environment.
  • Interact respectfully and calmly with patients, families, and staff.
  • Register patients for urgent care and occupational medicine, and manage patient charts.
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and assist with forms.
  • Schedule patient appointments and provide information on services and charges.
  • Perform administrative tasks and assist other departments as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and ensure cleanliness of the office environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and comply with quality assurance and safety guidelines.
