Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service to patients.
  • Handle patient registration and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for services.
  • Resolve billing and insurance-related issues for patients.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively to promote excellent department operations.
  • Assist in daily department maintenance and general departmental flow.
  • Respond to phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate information to customers including patients, physicians, and visitors.
  • Schedule appointments according to provider guidelines.
  • Maintain supply levels and patient brochures in the work area.
  • Follow established cash receipt policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program.
  • Experience in a medical or hospital setting.
