About The Position

Patient Service Representative – Cardiology Location: Boardman, Ohio Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday) At Southwoods, it’s not just about the treatment, but how you’re treated. Southwoods Health is seeking a professional, patient-focused individual to join our Cardiology team in Boardman. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for our patients by managing registrations, insurance, and scheduling with excellence.

Requirements

• Training in business office activities and medical terminology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor
• You must be a problem-solver with a cooperative attitude toward patients and staff
• Candidates must be available for all of the following shifts: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient check-in/check-out, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and process clinical orders.
• Schedule follow-up appointments, provide post-visit instructions, and handle telephone triage to facilitate provider instructions.
• Create a welcoming, professional environment through proactive communication and exceptional customer service.
• Partner with clinical staff to ensure efficient office flow and maintain regulatory compliance.
