Provides front-line support to patients and clinical staff by performing a variety of receptionist, registration, and clerical duties. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive experience for patients through professional communication, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent customer service. Greets patients, answers incoming calls, and performs general clerical tasks to support assigned clinical departments. Schedules patient appointments using computerized scheduling systems and ensures accuracy in all entries. Verifies insurance coverage and benefits, obtaining precertification or authorization when required. Determines and accepts payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers patients to financial counselors for assistance as needed. Collects, verifies, and enters all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system in a timely and accurate manner.
