About The Position

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) at St Joseph Hospital is responsible for managing administrative operations within the Family Medicine department. This role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, both in-person and over the phone, while acting as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and providers. The PSR may also handle billing functions related to daily office payments and charges.

Requirements

  • High School diploma minimum; Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical career field with knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Two years of medical customer service training and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer software applications, including Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Typing speed of 40-60 wpm.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous phlebotomy experience.
