About The Position

The Patient Access Rep LEAD position is located in Woodridge and offers full-time hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves overseeing the daily coordination of subordinate personnel and the services they provide related to various patient registrations, discharges, and admissions. The incumbent will ensure accurate and timely input of patient, insurance, and clinical information into the admissions system while maintaining department standards and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business or healthcare or minimum two years of revenue cycle experience or minimum three years of patient access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and legal aspects of patient access and third-party insurances.
• A valid driver’s license is required if performing duties at an off-site location.
• Proficiency with computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of subordinate personnel related to patient access services.
• Monitor and ensure accurate and timely input of patient, insurance, and clinical information.
• Ensure department standards are met and excellent customer service is provided.
• Assist staff in resolving issues with procedures, equipment, employees, physicians, and patients.
• Perform duties of a patient service representative.
