About The Position

The Patient Service Representative/Insurance Verification position is a full-time role located at 4201 Winfield Road, Warrenville, IL. The call center operates Monday through Friday from 7am to 6:30pm, with the expectation of working until 6:30pm two nights a week. The start and end times are negotiable based on the length of shifts. The role involves providing pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions, and managing medical information systems. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and recording demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data, ensuring compliance with payer requirements, and coordinating with physician offices on financial and scheduling processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of call center experience, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy.
  • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Epic is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-registrations and registrations for patients.
  • Manage order management and charge capture functions.
  • Collect and analyze demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data.
  • Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding.
  • Ensure patients understand the hospital’s revenue cycle expectations.
  • Contact third-party payers for verification of benefits.
  • Coordinate with physician offices on financial and scheduling processes.
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements and correctness of registration.
