The MIU Advantage Sign-On Bonus: $500.00 to welcome you to the team! Stable, Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 to 9-hour days (40–42 hours per week). Your Role in our High-Volume Office As a PSR II, you are the face of our West Bloomfield clinic. You will coordinate the essential administrative and financial tasks that ensure our patients receive the highest level of care in a busy setting: Efficient Patient Intake: Welcoming a high volume of patients, managing the check-in/check-out process quickly and accurately, and ensuring demographics are updated. Financial Stewardship: Verifying insurance coverage, collecting co-payments/deductibles, and assisting with charge entries. Clinic Coordination: Managing busy multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between patients and clinical staff to ensure a seamless visit. Office Integrity: Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring all patient information remains strictly confidential (HIPAA). Preferred Experience: 1–2 years in a medical office or high-level customer service role is a plus, but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate. The Patient Service Representative II is knowledgeable in the areas of non-clinical support and acts as a resource to patient services staff, providing guidance on more complex issues and concerns. The Patient Service Representative II coordinates clerical tasks including answering the phones, greeting patients/visitors, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner. They are responsible for moving the patients through the intake and checkout process including patient registration, scanning and filing medical records, collecting co-payments, deductibles, and any outstanding balances. The Patient Service Representative II may process referrals and charge entries. They ensure that all procedures are closely followed to create a seamless patient experience between clerical and clinical staff.
