The Patient Service Representative I Hospital position at Advocate Health is a full-time, benefits-eligible role within the Regional Non Enterprise Corporate - Administration: Pain Management Department. This float teammate will cover all Neuroscience locations, focusing on creating and maintaining accurate electronic health records, ensuring patient identification for safety, and managing patient registration, demographic, guarantor, and insurance information. The role involves discussing and collecting co-pays, maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, and understanding various insurance plans and financial obligations. Responsibilities also include scheduling appointments, providing detailed patient information, and creating a welcoming environment through excellent customer service. The representative will handle telephone inquiries, assist patients with various needs, and manage electronic health record work queues.
