About The Position

The Patient Service Representative Assistant is responsible for creating a pleasant and seamless patient experience. The PSR assistant will greet visitors and point them in the right direction, answer inquiries, and create a welcoming environment. They will be responsible for providing general support and assistance to the PSR staff members of an ambulatory clinic, allowing those roles to provide direct patient care. This position is available in a full time or part time capacity.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • English - Read and Write
  • English - Understand and speak English, ability to communicate clearly
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well with others, maintain confidentiality and use good judgement

Nice To Haves

  • Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and Office

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
  • Provide general clerical support to the clinic staff, such as processing, sorting, and route incoming and outgoing mail
  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Assist with wayfinding and escorting patients to their appointments.
  • Gathering and distributing clinic supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of waiting rooms, exam rooms, and other clinic public spaces
  • Stocking carts and restocking clinical exam rooms; checking for expired supplies
  • Communicate regularly with staff to determine needed areas of assistance
  • Assist with patient registration form management
  • Work alongside job coach/guide to help determine tasks/duties assigned.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of workspace and following environmental health cleaning guidelines.
  • Responsible for following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Responsible for other duties or projects as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
