About The Position

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Part Time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for Rocky Top ENT & Allergy located in Oak Ridge, TN. The position may include some local travel as needed. Job duties include: • Greet patients in friendly and timely manner • Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office • Maintain patient demographic and insurance information; verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-pays • Check Out Patients and make sure they have appropriate information for their follow up appointment. • Perform end of day tasks for billing • Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at front office • Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions • Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician • Schedules patients with appropriate physician • Document scanning into electronic health record • Other duties as assigned (Scheduling incoming Referrals, Filing incoming faxes appropriately, etc) • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate. Requirements

Must have at least 6-months to 1-year of previous medical office experience.
Knowledge with medical coding

Responsibilities
