About The Position

University Physicians Association is currently seeking a Patient Service Representative to support our growing practice at University Thoracic Surgeons, affiliated with the University of Tennessee Medical Center. We’re looking for a candidate who excels in communication, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong computer, telephone, and scheduling skills.

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with professionalism and warmth
• Assist patients in completing required forms for health records and billing
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and verify insurance eligibility
• Schedule and authorize radiology exams
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding registration and billing
• Direct medical-related questions to appropriate clinical staff
• Schedule appointments with the appropriate provider
• Scan documents into the electronic health record system
• Perform other duties as assigned
