The Patient Service Representative greets, assists, and schedules patients and families in the clinic to ensure delivery of effective and efficient patient care. This role is responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, and collection of cash payments.

  • Greet and assist patients and families in the clinic.
  • Schedule patients for appointments.
  • Handle patient registration and insurance verification.
  • Collect cash payments from patients.
  • Minimum one (1) year of front office/scheduling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to provide family-centered patient care based on age appropriateness and cultural and spiritual needs.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively with others.
  • Ability to prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
  • Ability to perform work according to CHOC's policies and procedures.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively.
  • Two (2) years of experience with scheduling.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish.
