About The Position

MILLIGAN SURGICAL VEIN CLINIC is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a medical office located in Morristown, TN.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a medical office required.
• Insurance knowledge to obtain precertification for in-office surgeries.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans preferred.
• The ability to type and file accurately.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Good telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
• Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
• Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
• Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
• Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.
• Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office.
• Ensure good patient flow through practice by timely and accurately processing of patients as they arrive at front office.
• Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration and surgery information.
• Refer patient inquiries regarding medical care/treatment to medical assistant or physician.
• Document scanning, faxing, documenting into electronic health record.
• Other duties as assigned.
