Patient Service Representative - Float. PSR Float provides “fill-in” coverage at all 23 clinics. Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is looking for a Patient Service Representative - Float. All PSRs receive a comprehensive training program and ongoing support. In addition, OSS is offering an $8,000 pay differential for this position to reflect our appreciation and understanding of the commitment required to work at any OSS location. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week are guaranteed. This job requires working Monday - Friday (no weekends); work hours may vary, but will begin no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and end no later than 6:20 p.m. Summary of Duties: Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services. Patient service functions include patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Additionally, PSR will perform other daily operational functions associated with the front desk position. Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling:

Requirements

  • Minimum High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in an appropriately related position OR Equivalent education/experience
  • All offers of employment at Olympic Sports & Spine are contingent upon the successful completion of a thorough background screening process. This may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment history, education, credit check (where applicable), criminal record check, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming patient phone calls.
  • Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.
  • Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.
  • Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.
  • Scan documents into the patient's account.
  • Build and maintain all patient charts.
  • Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.
  • Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls
  • Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
  • Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues.
  • Open and sort mail daily.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
