We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic full time Patient Service Coordinator to join our Patient Services Team! - Full time, 40 hours per week. Monday- Friday, no weekends. - Fully remote position - Full benefits, partial benefits, or no benefit options available. Apply directly on our website- https://westongroupinc.workbrightats.com POSITION SUMMARY The Patient Service Coordinator is responsible for the intake of patient data, including but not limited to obtaining verification of all insurance benefits for patients and maintaining that information to reflect the most up to date coverage, obtaining any necessary pre-authorizations and consents to treat, and interfacing with billing and therapists/managers.

Requirements

  • Ability to navigate numerous insurance portals to review benefit coverage details
  • Ability to interface with insurance company representatives, billing representatives, powers of attorney and therapists
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Must demonstrate appropriate and applicable fine motor skills.
  • Must demonstrate adequate visual acuity for computer related work.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand while performing computer use.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare administration is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain accurate verification of all insurance benefits, and entry of new or updated insurance information for all patient accounts
  • Check multiple electronic systems to verify current health insurance coverage
  • Call insurance companies to inquire about coverage, when necessary
  • Add/create new accounts in the EMR system and validate for the green lighting process
  • Review patient accounts and insurance profiles to guarantee accuracy
  • Work with therapists to obtain all necessary insurance pre-authorizations
  • Obtain Power of Attorney verbal authorization and signed authorization
  • Track plans of care and prescriptions for therapy
  • Communicate with referral sources to obtain referrals
  • Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the EMR system
  • Assist Medical Review with information for medical records requests, when necessary
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
  • Provide assistance and coverage for the Health Information Technology Specialists, when necessary
  • Perform all related duties, as required by the Director of Operational Efficiencies, Director of Human Resources, CEO, CFO, and VPO's
