About The Position

Responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. The role involves warmly greeting and registering arriving patients, answering incoming calls promptly and professionally, evaluating priority, and directing calls appropriately according to urgency and subject matter. The position also includes scheduling new patient appointments accurately, informing patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit, reviewing daily Televox report of appointment confirmations to ensure accurate schedule and appropriate communications with patients, collecting co-payments and office charges as needed, and explaining office payment billing policies to patients. Additionally, the role ensures patients have a comfortable and inviting environment by maintaining a clean waiting room, actively removing trash, and keeping magazines current at the start of each session and throughout the day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
