Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support within area of responsibility that may include telephone support, filing, typing, coordinating schedules, distributing correspondence, materials management, data entry, simple data analyses, and rudimentary reporting. All within established legal guidelines and maintaining confidentiality at all times. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST. Our office is located at 5957 West Ramsey Street, 2nd Floor, Banning, CA 92220. This will be on the job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service in office setting OR patient service
  • Experience with Windows including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST from Monday - Friday

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with working in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of experience in patient outreach

Responsibilities

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate our company's commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer
  • Uses, protects, and discloses our patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and / OR providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution / inquiries from members and / OR providers
  • This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone
  • Ensures receipt of a valid authorization for each request
  • Answers and screens telephone calls
  • Other duties as assigned
