We are offering an opportunity for a Patient Scheduler to join our team. The Patient Scheduler is responsible for patient related activities, which include patient scheduling, patient check-in, checkout, and follow up activities. Requirements

• Up to one year related work experience preferred
• Proficient in a suite of Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to work independently, effective time management and problem solving skills, able to manage multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Confident and effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of patient procedures/diagnostics for assigned area or function.
• Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Communicates with medical and clinical staff to ensure availability of facilities and staff and intake preauthorization's at time of scheduling.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families, as permissible, to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Intakes demographics, insurance information, and pre-authorizations as necessary for all scheduled encounters.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
