Requirements

• 2+ years in a medical office setting preferred, with knowledge of scheduling, medical terminology, and workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to manage documentation and communication.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and authorizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new patient consults, follow-up appointments, and ancillary tests with accuracy and efficiency using computerized scheduling programs.
• Respond quickly to urgent scheduling requests, coordinating with providers and departments.
• Create a welcoming and supportive experience for patients, ensuring they feel valued and informed.
• Work closely with the clinical team to support department needs and optimize patient care.
• Update and enter insurance authorizations and pre-authorizations as necessary for all scheduled encounters.
• Provide necessary pre-procedure instructions, confirm appointments, and intake demographics and insurance information.
