About The Position

The Patient Safety Technician is responsible for providing continuous observation and appropriate documentation of assigned patients who are identified as being at increased risk for injury, self-harm, or elopement. This role supports patient safety through vigilant monitoring, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), and timely communication with the clinical care team. Responsibilities

Provide continuous, one-on-one observation for assigned patients in Sitter and Spotter assignments
Protect patients from self-harm, injury, or elopement by maintaining constant awareness and presence
Conduct continuous rounds and maintain visual contact with the patient as required
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
Assist with bathroom use, commode support, and incontinence care while preserving dignity and safety
Monitor and accurately document intake and output
Perform preventive skin care, oral/mouth care, and assist with feeding as needed
Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
Observe and promptly report changes in patient behavior, condition, or safety concerns to nursing staff
Accurately document patient activity per policy and regulatory requirements
Perform other related duties as assigned to support patient care and safety
