Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Patient Safety Specialist Location: La Crosse, WI FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) Shift: Business hours, typically 8am-4:30pm Pay: Starting pay of $78,083.20/year, with more based on experience Weekend/Holidays: No weekends or holidays! Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Patient Safety Specialist to join our Quality and Patient Safety department. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or allied health field
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Support and facilitate ongoing patient safety and safety‑culture performance improvement activities
- Partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to promote high reliability, clinical excellence, and zero preventable patient harm
- Review, analyze, and trend safety events to identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead and support root cause analyses and other investigative processes
- Co‑design safety initiatives to enhance system‑level patient safety performance
- Promote a non‑punitive culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Support patient safety recognition programs and communication initiatives
- Serve as a resource and educator for departments on patient safety principles and best practices
