About The Position
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, as a Patient Safety Monitor you will provide one-to-one, two-to-one, or rounding observation of patients who have been deemed a safety risk to themselves and/or others. They assist in the provision of a safe and clean environment and provide assistance with activities of daily living, when appropriate. Communicates changes in behavior / activity to the registered nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BCLS or Heart Savor certification
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment
- Possesses the judgment and ability to effectively communicate observed changes
- Completion of a certified crisis intervention training program to be completed within 30 days
- Universal precautions and Infection control to be completed within 30 days
- Seizure safety/protocols to be completed within 30 days
- Fall protocols/prevention to be completed within 30 days
- Restraints to be completed within 30 days
- Suicide Precautions to be completed within 30 days
