About The Position
The Patient Safety Monitor assists in the patient admission process, which includes obtaining and recording vital signs, weight, and height. The role involves orienting patients to their surroundings, including television and phone operation, feeding patients, and recording liquid intake. The monitor is responsible for reporting all changes in patient condition to the clinician, primary, or charge nurse on duty. This position will also perform or assist in patient observation for those patients who exhibit at-risk behaviors. The ability to stay calm in emergency situations is essential.
