About The Position
The Patient Sitter provides continuous, compassionate observation and companionship to patients requiring close monitoring to ensure their safety and well-being. This role plays a vital part in supporting the clinical team by helping prevent injury, promoting a therapeutic environment, and responding promptly to patient needs. This includes alerting nurses or clinical partners when patients require assistance or intervention, attending to basic patient requests, and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with BHSF policies and standards.
Requirements
- High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper
- Basic Life Support
- BLS required, must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills, with a keen ability to observe and recognize changes in patient behavior or condition.
- 1-year Minimum Required Experience
Nice To Haves
- CNA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred, not required.
