How you’ll contribute Under supervision of an RN, the patient safety companion provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients identified as safety risks. The PSC assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment, keeping the patient safe by always observing patient. Report observations in physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff. Communicate with the RN caring for the patient throughout your shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent – desired
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter
  • Registered in NC as a CNAI with in 6-months of completing training program

Responsibilities

  • Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients identified as safety risks.
  • Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment, keeping the patient safe by always observing patient.
  • Report observations in physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Communicate with the RN caring for the patient throughout your shift.
