About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Safety Companion to join our healthcare team in Easton, United States. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients by providing constant observation and support. Maintain a vigilant watch over assigned patients to prevent falls, self-harm, or other safety risks Assist patients with basic needs while maintaining their dignity and comfort Communicate effectively with nursing staff about patient behavior, mood changes, or concerns Engage patients in appropriate activities to promote a positive environment Document patient observations accurately and in a timely manner Respond promptly to patient calls or requests for assistance Ensure a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols Assist with patient mobility and transfers as directed by nursing staff Participate in regular training sessions to enhance patient safety skills Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Excellent observation and reporting skills
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient safety protocols
  • Proficiency in time management and multitasking
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient mobility for extended periods
  • Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving (preferred)
  • Empathetic and patient-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
  • Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving (preferred)
