About The Position

Position Purpose At Saint Francis Hospital, the Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients. This position involves continuous observation of assigned patients, verbal redirection from at-risk behaviors, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure quality care. What You’ll Do Provide continuous visual observation of assigned patients, including behavioral health populations Verbally redirect patients from unsafe behaviors and notify nursing staff of concerns Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Document patient interactions and observations in medical records and handoff reports Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Collaborate with nursing staff and participate in handoff communication Respond quickly to changes in patient behavior or condition Work with patients in isolation while maintaining proper precautions About Saint Francis Hospital Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, has been a cornerstone of care in Connecticut since 1897. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities
