About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. The Patient Router plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience. This position is responsible for greeting patients, preparing them for their visits, and rooming patients in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner while supporting clinical staff and maintaining clinic workflow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months to one-year prior experience in a health care setting highly desired.
• CNA experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of techniques of quality customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with others of varying background.
• Ability to offer empathy and support to individuals who may be emotionally unsettled.
• Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly learn basic medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• CNA experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival to the clinic
• Escort and room patients for their scheduled visits in a timely manner
• Verify patient information, including demographics and visit details
• Obtain and document vital signs as required
• Prepare exam rooms before and after patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies
• Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding patient flow and readiness
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Assist with general clinic operations as needed to support patient care and efficiency
