About The Position

The Patient Representative at Massena Hospital is responsible for utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) modules and other office equipment to perform all clerical tasks efficiently and timely. This role involves collaboration with physicians, Physician Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Nurse Practitioners. The representative will manage patient care activities, including scheduling, telephone contact with patients, scanning, record preparation, and collection of payments. They will document essential patient encounter information in the EMR and ensure professional communication with the management team and support staff. The position also includes managing referrals and providing direct support to providers throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical activities within the medical practice, including scheduling and telephone contact with patients.

• Support providers as needed throughout the workday.
• Manage incoming and outgoing referrals within the organization and with external entities.
• Maintain patient schedules for regular office visits and accommodate adjustments as needed.
• Control practice expenses through efficient use of supplies and manage cash drawer balancing.
