About The Position

The Patient Relations Representative serves as a vital link between patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff, focusing on enhancing the patient and family experience through proactive and personalized services. This role involves addressing patient concerns, facilitating communication, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the hospital stay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; college degree in progress preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in hospitality, guest services, or customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• LPN preferred; other licensed clinical professionals considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds on patients to proactively resolve issues and ensure their experience meets expectations.
• Assist patients and families with the completion of the satisfaction survey prior to discharge.
• Attend Interdisciplinary Care Team meetings and actively participate by bringing issues forward for resolution.
• Make recommendations for improvement based on patient and family feedback.
• Provide a link between the hospital, patients, and families, especially in conflict resolution concerning treatment or care.
• Investigate, resolve, and record patient complaints formally.
• Work a flexible schedule determined by the CEO, focusing on hours when admissions and family visits are likely.
• Welcome newly admitted patients and their families to the hospital.
• Coordinate with the Admission Coordinator to ensure rooms are prepared and common areas are tour-ready.
• Ensure new patients receive a completed and standardized Kindred admission kit upon admission.
