The Patient Relations Coordinator at Genesis Clinical Services is responsible for managing daily interactions with patients in a busy private psychiatry office. This role focuses on addressing patient inquiries, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Direct daily contact with patients to address inquiries and complaints.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and flow throughout the day.
  • Provide accurate appointment sheets and patient files.
  • Schedule appointments and track no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
  • Check-out patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Handle patient prescription requests and interact with insurance companies as needed.
  • Record all charges and payments to patient accounts.
  • Inform patients of the clinic's payment policy and collect payments at the time of service.
  • Assist patients in completing new patient health history forms.
  • Organize, pull, and file patient charts daily.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Follow required OSHA safety procedures as necessary.
  • Make a positive first impression with patients both by phone and in person.
  • Answer phones promptly and communicate courteously with patients.
  • Lead by example and exercise good teamwork.
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance processes.
  • Experience in a professional healthcare environment with direct customer contact.
