The Registration Receptionist performs all duties associated with the efficient registration of patients under minimal supervision. This role also includes answering the Center's main phone line and routing incoming calls. Key responsibilities involve pre-registration tasks, verifying demographic and insurance information, obtaining deductible, co-insurance, co-pay, and out-of-pocket amounts, and reviewing this information with patients. The receptionist is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent and signatures on required forms, labeling forms, explaining financial responsibilities, and accepting payments. Additionally, the role acts as a liaison between clinical units and the lobby waiting room.
