About The Position

The Patient Registration Specialist plays an essential role in delivering high-quality customer service and supporting smooth clinic operations. This position is responsible for patient check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, assisting with paperwork, answering phones, and providing a welcoming first point of contact for all patients. Responsibilities

  • Register new and returning patients, including entering and updating demographic and insurance information
  • Assist patients with forms, income updates, enrollment documents, and release of information forms
  • Direct patients to the appropriate provider or service area
  • Answer phones in a courteous, professional manner and relay messages accurately
  • Schedule medical, dental, and insurance enrollment appointments
  • Make reminder and confirmation calls and fill open appointment slots when cancellations occur
  • Collect copays, fees, and payments at the time of service and record them in the practice management system
  • Explain the sliding fee scale, co-pays, and payment expectations to patients
  • Support patient satisfaction and practice management processes as part of the clinic team
