About The Position

-Responsible for clerical and reception duties related to patient scheduling and registration. -Serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their needs are met. - Schedules patient visits and procedures for multiple hospitals and outpatient centers. - Coordinates with various departments and follows clinical protocols. - Responds to patient questions and concerns, directing them to the appropriate department. - Maintains ongoing communication with clinical staff regarding real‑time patient status. - Collaborates with medical staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and effectiveness. - Multitasks across several technology systems. - Collects and enters demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information. - Provides patient education by explaining preparation and instructions for scheduled procedures. - Informs patients of possible co‑pays and deductibles due at the time of service. - Reviews and analyzes financial information from the registration system and communicates it to patients and the business office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of Medical Records or Patient Access
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously
