Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
MediClear or equivalent credential required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with both patients and staff.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience in patient registration, billing, coding, or insurance claims is a plus.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance programs preferred.
Proficiency in data entry, typing, and basic computer skills is desirable.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Assist patients with portal account setup and provide guidance on online tools.
Answer and route phone calls, addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
Complete insurance verification, explain coverage details, and review out-of-pocket costs with patients.
Collect, post, and reconcile payments while maintaining and balancing a daily cash drawer.
Review patient balances, discuss payment plans, and process sliding fee discount applications when applicable.
Schedule follow-up appointments, update provider schedules throughout the day, and contact no-show patients to reschedule visits.
Support other administrative tasks and perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth front-office operations.
