About The Position

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences? Join a dedicated healthcare team where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families—providing warmth, professionalism, and support in a fast-paced medical environment. As a Patient Registration Specialist, you’ll be cross-trained to support multiple areas of the hospital, including: Emergency Department Greet and check in patients arriving by foot, ambulance, or helicopter. Register patients at the bedside using portable devices. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information. Support uninsured patients and complete Medicare documentation as needed. Outpatient/Clinic Services Locate and verify patient records in the EMR system. Confirm insurance coverage and update demographic details. Assist with check-out, follow-up scheduling, and charge entry. Answer questions related to lab, pharmacy, or radiology services. Main Admitting/Inpatient Support services like lab, radiology, surgery, and inpatient admissions. Perform bedside registration when necessary. Provide compassionate assistance and accurate information to patients and families. Be part of a mission-driven team that directly impacts patient care. Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in a customer-facing or healthcare-related role.
  • Strong technology skills for comfort using EMR systems.
  • A compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care is most important.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills.
  • A sense of urgency and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
