About The Position

The Patient Registration Specialist performs all duties associated with the efficient registration of all patients accessing the facility. This role is essential in ensuring that the registration process is smooth and effective for all patients visiting the urgent care center.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in the medical field preferred.
• Knowledge of admitting/registration process.
• Familiarity with receivables management.
• Understanding of credit and collection laws.
• Experience with billing forms and medical billing regulations.
• Ability to calculate insurance benefits.
• Knowledge of HMO/PPO contracts and third-party funding resources.

Responsibilities
