About The Position

The Patient Registration Specialist at Option Care Health is responsible for facilitating the onboarding process for new patients transitioning to home infusion services. This role aims to ensure a seamless experience for patients and referral partners, coordinating with various stakeholders to prepare patients for care and manage necessary documentation and payments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience required.
• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional team members.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates, and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secures patient's upfront payment and assists patients in finding financial assistance when needed.
• Supports ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and manages denial follow-ups.
• Assists Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
