About The Position
Good Samaritan University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Registration Representative to join our Patient Access team. This part-time position is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for patients undergoing elective procedures. The representative will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding their upcoming visits and pre-surgical testing. This role is vital in maintaining the hospital's commitment to exceptional quality of care and patient satisfaction. In this position, the Patient Registration Representative will be responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographics and insurance information for elective procedures. This includes scheduling appointments using the Cadence system, maintaining endoscopy and colonoscopy schedules, and creating cases in the Optesia system. Additionally, the representative will assist in managing pain management schedules as needed, register patients for pre-surgical testing, handle cash postings, and perform scanning tasks to ensure all patient information is accurately recorded and accessible. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service and supporting the hospital's mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.
