About The Position

The Patient Registrar at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate patient registration, providing exemplary customer service, and verifying insurance coverage. Requirements

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstation or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments.
• Interview incoming patients, their relatives, or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographic information with insurance and financial information.
• Assign Insurance Plans (I-Plans) accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources.
