As a Patient Registrar, you’ll be the welcoming face of our organization—assisting patients with scheduling, registration, and insurance verification, while providing exceptional customer service. You’ll help ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients and their families, all while supporting our mission to put patients first. Patient Registrar – Patient Access In this vital role, you will: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients during scheduling, registration, and admissions. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-certifications and authorizations. Screen for medical necessity and ensure accurate documentation to support billing and reimbursement. Provide clear communication and support to patients and families throughout their visit. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to uphold our high standards of care and service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong clerical skills and proficiency with PC-based systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance carriers and coverage guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital, medical practice, or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes.
  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
  • Some college coursework or degree.
