Stay Amazing Patient Registrar – NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Medical Group - Orthopedics and Sports Medicine– Full Time Days NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG) are part of the physician enterprise of NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems affiliated with two world-renowned medical schools. Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area. Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigation through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a full time Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Hours will vary as needed from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Must be willing to travel/provide coverage to Ortho department sites below and to help cover the other Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed. Locations: 1985 Crompond Road, Bldg E, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 35 South Riverside Avenue, Suite 106, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516 Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of clerical experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Effective communication skills verbal and written
  • Superior Customer Service skills
  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
  • Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently
  • all roles require on-site presence
  • all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a busy out-patient practice
  • Orthopedics or Radiology experience
  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements
  • EMR experience/EPIC
