Patient Registrar — Admissions (Harrison, AR) Be the calm, friendly first face for every visit. As a Patient Registrar at NARMC, you’ll welcome patients, verify coverage, and complete accurate registrations that keep care moving and billing clean. Job Summary Interview and register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department services; verify demographics/insurance, obtain signatures/authorizations, collect payments as needed, and route patients to the correct department, all while maintaining accuracy and great service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; typing accuracy and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; excellent customer service.

  • Prior medical office/registration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients (ED, inpatient, outpatient); prepare ID bands and explain hospital policies.
  • Verify insurance/eligibility; obtain signatures for treatment, assignment, and payment guarantee; copy cards.
  • Collect payments after hours; balance receipts and maintain accurate EHR/registration data.
  • Direct or escort patients to departments; answer phones/switchboard and support the Business Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow EMTALA/financial assistance workflows.
