Explore this opportunity: Patient Registrar - Ambulatory Care Services – WC/Chelsea Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. The schedule for this full time position will be as early as 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM with rotating Saturdays
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of clerical experience
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
- All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Nice To Haves
- Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements and clinical coding
