Patient Registrar - Multispecialty Practice - Queens Medical Group As a member of our administrative team, you will discover what sets us apart - passion for the individuals and families in our care. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, This is a full-time day shift position (8am - 6pm), Monday - Friday. The hours may change to accommodate the needs of the practice. This position is based in our Bayside location and may need to travel to other locations as needed. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Qualified candidates have prior administrative, patient appointments and surgical scheduling experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework
  • Familiarity with Epic
  • Experience with insurance authorization
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a medical practice

Responsibilities

  • Providing a reassuring presence during the patient experience
  • Demographic and insurance information collection
  • Registration for procedures and appointments
  • Schedules and maintains daily appointments
  • Collects co-payments and fees
  • Check eligibility in real time
