About The Position

Stay Amazing Patient Registrar – Cardiology- Full Time Days - NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/Hudson Valley Medical Group. NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG) are part of the physician enterprise of NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems affiliated with two world-renowned medical schools. Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area. Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigation through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a full-time 40-hour work week located at our Hudson Valley practice in Cortland Manor. Hours may vary based on operational needs. Must be willing to travel and provide coverage across the various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed including Cortlandt Manor, Croton-On-Hudson & Cold Spring.

Requirements

  • At least one year of clerical and customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
  • Experience working in a busy medical practice.
  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD/CPT.
