About The Position

As a Patient Placement Coordinator at Methodist Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in managing patient flow within the healthcare system. Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is mandatory.
• Registered Nurses (RNs) without a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must enroll in a BSN program within two years of hire and complete it within five years.
• Three years of prior RN direct patient care experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Recent clinical experience in ICU or telemetry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign patients to appropriate hospital beds based on demand and availability.
• Monitor bed demand through reservations, walk-ins, transfers, and Emergency Department admissions.
• Provide administrative authority for accepting transfer patients to all Methodist Healthcare System facilities.
• Participate in capacity management conference calls and triage patients for bed assignments.
• Project bed availability based on expected transfers and discharges.
• Coordinate communication from physicians and their office staff for admission requests.
