About The Position

The Patient Observer is responsible for providing constant observation for patients who are identified as a risk to themselves or others. This role functions under the direction of a registered nurse and involves supporting direct caregivers and patients by maintaining a clean environment and responding to patient needs.

Requirements

• Ability to concentrate and pay attention.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Good hearing and speaking abilities.
• Ability to interact with diverse personalities and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to work with individuals of different ages.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation for patients at risk to themselves or others.
• Assist nursing staff by ensuring a clean and ready environment.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly.
• Stock supplies and provide environmental support as needed.
