About The Position

Explore this opportunity: The Patient Navigator functions as the primary care coordinator for patients and collaborates with key clinical staff to ensure comprehensive care and treatment is offered to cancer patients. Coordinates appointments, provides logistical support, acts as a liaison between the patient and medical team, directs patient inquires to appropriate staff, and facilitates support to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. Helps the patient overcome any barriers to quality care. Position includes direct contact and communication with patient, in person, on telephone or via e-mail. The shift for this full-time position is Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage high stress, chronically ill population with complicated psycho-social issues.
  • Diverse and culturally sensitive customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
  • Experience in health care setting working directly with patients.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
